Rain is forecast this week in the Channel Islands, after the fourth heatwave of the year.
Low cloud across the channel will bring drizzle and wet conditions for a few days.
It's expected that on Tuesday night we could get between 5 and ten millimetres.
Enzo Davy is a forecaster at Jersey Met:
"When it's this dry and then we get a lot of rain very quickly, it struggles to penetrate the ground very quickly because it's so compact.
"It depends on how you work your ground, of course, but over the couple of days, it should end up being a useful amount of rain.
"It is wet, but if we get to 23 degrees, that's still slightly above average; it's not like it's gone cold necessarily; it's just noticeable compared to what we've seen for the past few weeks."
As it's been so dry, the rain will be welcomed, but it won't change the risk of wildfire or water usage warnings.
