The new Condor Ferries boss is promising improved services within weeks.
Christophe Mathieu says schedules will change in May to give Channel Islanders more frequent sailings at more convenient times.
The successor to John Napton is also CEO of shareholder Brittany Ferries, and has signaled its closer involvement in Condor's day to day operations.
Mr Napton's departure, after two and half years in charge, was announced in February in a brief statement.

Mr Mathieu has indicated changes to both the Poole and St Malo crossings will include more inter-islands services.
Condor is also returning its freight ship service the Goodwill to six days a week.
Brittany Ferries, which owns 29% of Condor Ferries, tested its 157m long Barfleur in the St Helier harbour this week, and has plans to run the same berthing trials in Guernsey soon.
Jersey and Guernsey's governments are currently considering who will be operating ferry services beyond next spring, when the current agreements expire.
