The MSG says Dr Dean Patterson is no longer a partner but that he is fighting his temporary medical suspension.
Dr Dean Patterson is known for his concerns about the Covid jab and links to certain cardiac conditions.
The Medical Specialist Group (MSG) says that, after seeing patients in his practice, and at Dr Patterson's suggestion, the States commissioned an independent review, led by the Royal College of Physicians.
However, it did not come up with any conclusive medical evidence that contraindicated the use of vaccines.
As a result of this, a further internal investigation was carried out by the MSG, it says for patient safety reasons.
The case was referred to the Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service and Dr Dean Patterson has had his medical licence suspended for one year while it investigates. Dr Patterson is appealing this.
The MSG says Dr Patterson has not seen any of its patients since February 2025 and since 19 March 2026 is no longer a partner in the practice:
"Every decision we have taken throughout this process has been focused on ensuring the highest standards of patient care.
