A video exploring the formation of GFC and Victoria Park has been posted by the Premier League.
The Premier League’s official Facebook page - which has 69 million followers - has shared a video featuring Green Lions manager Tony Vance.
He is seen driving along Guernsey’s coast to Victoria Park.
In the voice-over, he talks about forming the local team, joining the UK football pyramid, and life on the island.
The video comes as Victoria Park marks its first anniversary.
The £10m facility, with 600 seats and an all-weather 3G pitch, opened to fans on 29 March 2025 after 10 years of planning.
Victoria Park is hosting a “bumper weekend of football” to celebrate.
On Saturday (28 March), Guernsey FC host Peacehaven & Telscombe, with half of the 50/50 halftime draw going to Guernsey Alzheimer’s.
On Sunday (29 March), there will be a Girls’ Community Football Festival, followed by a junior 4v4 tournament.
