A petition has been set up to change a law that doesn't allow dancing in Jersey's bars and nightclubs on Good Friday.
It also affects other entertainment venues from operating. Cineworld couldn't open in Jersey last Friday (15 April) because of the law.
The petition has been launched by Robin O'Toole, who was involved in last week's dance event.
He says in 2022, this law should be updated for future generations.
"First of all, I do totally respect people's opinions and people who think it should stay the same, that's totally fair.
But I think with new generations coming through, especially the younger ones, I just don't think anyone is aware of this and I think people should have the freedom of choice to be able to do what they wish on any day of the week.
I think it's nice to put it out there and see how the general population feels about it and I think it's something worth talking about.
Especially with the last few years, the entertainment industry has taken a bit of a hit and any extra days of trading is going to be beneficial."
The petition has been signed more than 140 times so far.
It needs 1,000 to get an official Ministerial response and 5,000 for it to be considered for debate in the States Assembly.
