Jersey Mums are being invited to proudly show off their post-baby bodies this weekend.
Photographer Sophie Darwin wants to capture a group of women for a campaign called 'MOTHERHOOD'.
An exhibition will feature mums of all shapes and sizes to show the miracle of motherhood and boost body confidence.
Local midwife May Bourne from Positive Birth Jersey says there's an important message to it:
"We think women face such an increasing amount of pressure to 'snap back' after they have given birth and look their best. This is just not realistic, and it can be quite dangerous and damaging for women to expect themselves to look perfect after birth.
We felt that it was a really good idea to try and get a group of women together and celebrate everything that comes with motherhood - and that includes stretch marks, a change in skin, c-section scars, breastfeeding and we want to celebrate post-birth bodies and normalise different shapes and sizes."
Pictures featuring 23 real mothers and their babies - complete with scars, stretch marks, bumps and all - will go on show at the Common Ground cafe in St Brelade on 10th November.
Women wanting to take part in the group photo should meet at St Brelade Church Hall in their underwear or swimwear at midday on Saturday 28th September.
