St Andrew's Chruch is holding a new running challenge, lasting 12 days.
The 12x12x12 is a new challenge created by the Anglican church in First Tower, which encourages keen runners to sign up to run 12km for 12 days across the 12 parishes.
Runners are tackling the challenge from 28 August to 8 September between 6:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.
It is all in a bid to raise money for Healing Waves, a therapy charity for those with disabilities, and to raise money to help the church become more accessible.
Vicar Mark Barrett says the church has held fundraisers for five years to ensure everyone can use its facilities.
"That includes people with disabilities, wheelchairs, people who are neurodiverse, people with dementia, partly because of the range of people we see on a typical weekend.
"We run a church centre, and our centre has 19 different user groups on a daily basis."
St Andrew's wants to encourage islanders to come and support the runners or to join in on one of the days to raise as much money as possible.
The vicar says it is so easy for able-bodied people to get up, run and join in.
"When I see some of my friends... My one friend has cerebral palsy and he's in a wheelchair, and the challenges he faces every day... It's really easy for me to get up and run..."
So far, the church has raised £470 but aims to raise £15,000.
Islanders joining one or more of the runs must be 16+ years old or accompanied by an adult.
The church also asks that people email admin@standrewschurch.org.je for more information or to join in.
