Jersey Met says the Channel Islands could see temperatures in the high twenties, possibly into the thirties, again next week.
Senior Jersey Met forecaster Bryan de Gruchy was hesitant to confirm whether we will see heat like the record breakers of last week.
But, he said it is a similar weather situation, 'with lots of warming and hot air over Europe moving this way.'
He said:
"Another spell of hot weather is possible, with temperatures into the high twenties, possibly the thirties.
"Whether that's another heatwave, it's too early to be specific about the exact temperatures at the moment, and how long they'll last."
A heat dome last week caused record temperatures across Europe and the UK.
Both Guernsey and Jersey smashed their all-time heat records by several degrees.
