The typical pay for a full-time worker in Jersey is £930 a week.
That works out at £48,360 a year.
The figure is revealed in the latest Average Earnings report from Statistics Jersey.
If you pool all salaries together the average (mean) jumps to £1,100 a week - or £57,200 a year.
The average pay rise in Jersey in the year to June 2026 was 4.1%.
Taking into account inflation, average earnings increased by just 1.2% in real terms.
Private sector pay rose by 3.7%, compared to much a higher 5.8% raise for public sector workers.
Overall, the data shows that average earnings are down 0.8% in real terms on a decade ago.
The Average Earnings report is produced from data collected from a 'large representative survey' of businesses and government departments.
Statistics Jersey is moving to a different, more detailed, way of reporting pay - based on tax and social security reports and manpower returns
The Earnings Statistics report puts the median average at £44,210 the mean average at £60,820.
It gives a more detailed breakdown, by sector, age and nationality.
It suggests 50 to 54 year olds working in the finance and legal sectors are Jersey's top earners. The lowest paid jobs are in hotels, restaurants and bars.
