A group of teenagers have been captured on CCTV vandalising the Town Church in St Peter Port.
Police are looking for three boys aged around 13-15 who set fire to paper and candles, and poured the hot wax over hand-stitched cushions.
Sticky liquid was poured across the floor of the church, which required professional cleaning.
Bailiwick Law Enforcement is giving the trio involved an opportunity to come forward, saying it does have them on CCTV.
Anyone with information, or who spotted youths on 9 August between 5:40pm and 5:50pm acting in an anti-social manner, are asked to contact 222 222, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
