Four Islanders Named On King's First Birthday Honours List

Four islanders from a broad spectrum of Bailiwick life have been awarded titles from His Majesty King Charles III.

The reigning monarch publishes a list of honours every year to mark their official birthday and recognise the exceptional work of individuals.

Four people from the Bailiwick of Guernsey feature in King Charles III's first birthday list.

The Bailiff, Richard McMahon, has been awarded a Knighthood, Mr David Warr an OBE, Mr Alan Gough an MBE, and Mr Kevin Adams a BEM.

Lieutenant-Governor Richard Cripwell says they are all deserving recipients:

“I am delighted that His Majesty has conferred these awards today.

Each of these recipients have worked extraordinarily hard for their communities over many years and this public recognition is entirely fitting and richly deserved. I congratulate them all.”
