St James has teamed up with Brittany Ferries to make bringing over acts from the UK and France more affordable.
The ferry operator is covering the cost of musicians and entertainers travelling to Guernsey to perform at St James, as the concert venue hopes to expand its programme.
Expenses are typically covered by ticket sales, but can make featuring new emerging artists challenging.
By removing travel costs, putting on smaller events with acts from abroad can be more financially viable.
Jon Bisson, Director of St James, hopes to inspire young audiences by bringing over a wider variety of performers.
“We are absolutely thrilled by the support of Brittany Ferries. This partnership will allow us to bring promising talent to Guernsey, which historically we have not always been able to do.
"The first of these acts is a band called Oscar who will travel from the UK to perform at Decibel Tower on 14 March.
"They will then be closely followed by the first French performers in April and we hope this partnership will inspire local bands and create future opportunities for Island musicians.”
The chance for local artists to support and perform alongside new and emerging performers will also be made possible.
