Air Bridge With IOM Suspended

Isolation-free connection with the Isle of Man is suspended by the Manx government after a rise in cases in the Bailiwick.

Guernsey's air bridge with the Isle of Man has been suspended by the Manx government after a recent rise in cases in the Bailiwick.

New P&R President, Deputy Peter Ferbrache said he had spoken to the Chief Minister of the Isle of Man earlier, who confirmed the suspension.

He reassured islanders currently over there on holiday that they "don't need to panic", as they'll still be able to return as normal.

Speaking in the latest media briefing Deputy Ferbrache emphasised that the connection had been 'suspended' and not 'cancelled'.

The air bridge began on the  22 July and islanders have been able to travel freely between the Isle of Man and Guernsey without being subjected to any requirements to isolate.
