Millbrook Park Pool To Be Replaced

Children are being asked to suggest what should replace the pool in Millbrook park.

The government is asking youngsters to draw or describe their dream water play area.

An online survey is also asking for ideas from parents.

Infrastructure Minister Deputy Kevin Lewis says he wants to create a space that will be enjoyed by the whole community for years to come.

The Coronation Park pool  - which was built in 1937 - has been closed due to a water leak.

It was shut for large part of last year because of coronavirus restrictions.

It last got a revamp in 2015 when a 'mushroom maze' and a 'shimmer sheet' were added to 'make it more fun'.

Everyone who is interested in its future can submit their views and primary school children are being encouraged to draw or describe what they would like to see in the water play area by filling in the ‘Design Your Dream Water Play’ worksheet.

The consultation closes on 29 March 2021.
