Jersey FA has announced it wants 75% of the island's sports clubs to have either women's or girls' teams by 2028.
Less than a third of clubs in the island have a team for female islanders.
It is part of their four-year business strategy from 2024 to 2028.
Tim Pryor, CEO of Jersey FA, tells us it is an ambitious aim, involving more than doubling the current provision:
"It's not going to be easy to achieve the aims.
"For the girls' games, it's going to be about working with schools a bit more, can we deliver more girls' festivals?
"Could we maybe get some more of our wildcat sessions that we do with the primary school girls out to the east or the west of the island and make sure there are no barriers with getting into those?

The CEO continues:
"For the women's game, it's about supporting clubs and even things like getting awareness for female-specific kit that clubs should be providing.
"We need to make sure that girls and women aren't put on the worst, most inconvenient training slots but have parity with the boys and the men.
"Also looking at different formats, so whether that's walking football or small-sided games that might be more attractive."
Jersey FA aims to become the leading charity in the island for reducing social isolation, in four years.
The FA hopes to achieve this by encouraging vulnerable residents to get into sports by volunteering with local clubs.
It also hopes to build two new artificial pitches by 2028 and tackle poor behaviour in the game.
