The Jersey Boat Show returns to St Helier Marina for another year of all things maritime.

From luxury yachts to paddle boards and RNLI demonstrations to never-seen-before in Jersey Royal Navy vessels, the boat show kicks off the May Bank Holiday weekend.

Events and Project Support Manager Kim Dreyer says the team is looking forward to welcoming islanders to experience the best of Jersey’s maritime community.

"There’ll be lots to keep people entertained on land, as well as on the water, and families will find loads to do at the Kids Zone in Marina Gardens.

"The Boat Show attracts more than 30,000 people every year, and we hope that as many people as possible will take advantage of this massive, free event."

The event starts on Saturday, 3 May and runs every day until Monday, 5 May.

James Prestwood's flyboard demonstration

Special guest James Prestwood will showcase his flyboard skills, taking to the air in three sessions a day across the weekend.

James will be strapped to a board by his boots, which is connected to a 23-metre hose.

This is all linked to a 300-horsepower jet ski, which can shoot James 18 metres into the air and is managed by a remote control.

Islanders can watch him perform backflips, spins, twists, dolphin dives and slaloms at the harbour, in front of Albert Pier.

The Royal Navy will be pitching up near the Steam Clock again this year, with a dive tank, which will be manned by one of the Fleet Squadron Area Diving Groups, and a remotely operated bomb disposal vehicle (ROV).

Since Jersey Boat Show's inaugural weekend in 2008, the Royal Navy have played an 'integral role'.

The force will bring over two Commando Raiding Craft (CRC) for the first time and an amphibious Landing Craft Vehicle Personnel (LCVP) to the marina, along with the HMS Express.

Islanders can catch a glimpse of two Viking Personnel Armoured Vehicles at the Military Village in the Weighbridge and chat with the Royal Navy's Mobile Outreach team.

Along with various showcases, St Helier Marina will be lined with food and drink vendors with different zones for visitors to enjoy.

The Weighbridge will have live music on the main stage, from Voces Victoria to Acoustic Show and Take This to The James Walton Quintet.

Geomarine is hosting an Outdoor & Active Zone on Albert Pier, and families can enjoy the Party Crew Kids' Zone on Marina Gardens, near the AquaSplash.
