Evidence Needed For Government Plan

Islanders are being asked to share their views on whether the Government Plan 2023-26 is easy to understand.

The Corporate Services Scrutiny Panel is calling for islanders to come forward and share their views on the new Government Plan.

Islanders are being asked whether they think the plan is "easy to understand, accessible and meaningful".

Deputy Sam Mézec, Chair of the Corporate Services Scrutiny Panel, says the panel is analysing the government’s spending plan and strategic priorities for the next four years.

"We are keen to find out whether members of the public understand what the Government Plan is, what it sets out to achieve and what this means for them."

The Panel also want to gather views on whether people think freezing alcohol duty will help with the cost-of-living and which public services would benefit the most from government spending.

If locals wish to share their opinions, the board will be available to discuss at the following locations in St. Helier next week:

• Co-op Grande Marché - 3 November from 10am,
• Brooks Street (opposite Voisins) - 4 November from 2pm,
• And Charing Cross (outside Santander Work Café) - 5 November from 10am.

The Panel asks that any written evidence is submitted to [email protected] by 14 November.
