A person wearing a wetsuit and diving gear has been recovered from the water between Jersey and France.
Local fishermen recovered the body from the water near Les Minquiers Reef.
Jersey Coastguard were contacted just before midday on Easter Monday, 1 April.
The deceased diver was brought to Jersey by the St Helier RNLI.
Jersey Police are investigating with the French authorities, who have had reports of a diver missing off the north coast of Brittany since 25 March.
The deceased is currently being identified.
