A man has been arrested after an alleged assault in St Brelade last Friday evening (12th July).
Police say two men walking their dogs got into a heated argument in the parkland area of Pont Marquent Country Park between 8pm and 9pm, which led to the alleged incident.
The force says the row was over the control of each other's dogs.
A 49-year-old man was taken to hospital after suffering facial injuries.
Another man, aged 40, was arrested on suspicion of grave and criminal assault later the same day. He's since been released on bail.
Anyone who saw what happened is asked to call police on 612612 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
