Last minute sponsorship and a government grant saves Jersey's Air Show.
Last week, organisers said that a £75,000 shortfall in funding meant that the display 'was in danger of being cancelled.'
They asked for 15 companies or islanders to come forward with £5,000 each to secure its finances.
More than £50,000 was raised by ten different companies and individuals.
The Economic Development department increased its grant by an additional £20,000.
Mike Higgins, the air display organiser, is grateful for the financial support:
"They have also ensured that we have not lost another visitor attraction and its important contribution to the Island economy."
The Air Display will be held on Thursday 14 September.
