13 electric blankets have been condemned as unsafe following checks by Jersey firefighters.
82 were tested overall at Western Fire Station on Wednesday.
The Fire Service and Jersey Electricity will be there again today between 9am-3pm.
There is also the chance to arrange a free home fire safety visit.
It is recommended that electric blankets that have been stored away are examined carefully for damage, and replaced every 10 years regardless.
In the past five years JFRS and JE have tested more than a thousand blankets for free.
