Islanders are being encouraged to consider fostering teenagers in Jersey.
This is part of a campaign from the Government of Jersey called 'Time for Teens'.
10 teenagers in Jersey are currently in need of a foster placement in the island - according to Children and Families Minister Robert Vibert.
Constable Vibert tells us why he's pushing for people to consider fostering teens in particular:
"It's often more difficult to find foster carers for teenage children, many people want to foster a younger child. That's why it is so important because a very important part of a child's life is their teenage years and having a caring family around, is the best possible outcome for them.
"We would like to see more children with foster carers and fewer care homes. I think care homes are not the last resort, but as younger people are more popular with foster carers, I think we really need to give our teenage children a chance."

The fostering team are staging three pop-up information sessions at the Santander Work café this week, for Islanders who may be interested:
• Wednesday 17 April between 11.30 am and 2.30 pm
• Thursday 18 April between 11.30 am and 2.30 pm
• Friday 19 April between 11.30 am and 2.30 pm
There will also be a virtual information evening on Thursday, 18 April at 5.30 pm.
