Police are looking for witnesses to an assault on La Motte Street.
Officers were called to outside the Indian Ocean Restaurant just after 10pm last Thursday (19th December) to reports of a man acting aggressively and grabbing hold of a woman from behind.
The couple, who know each other, had walked together from Snow Hill.
The woman suffered minor injuries and was taken by ambulance to the Emergency Department.
A 59 year old man was arrested at the scene and later released on bail.
The man is described as slim, 5ft 7” with short, grey curly hair and he was wearing a green hoody and jeans.
The woman in her early 40s is slim with dark, shoulder-length, frizzy hair and she was wearing a black jacket and black trousers.
