The latest repairs to Alderney's runway have taken place overnight to keep the airport operational.
Over the past week, a specialist contractor, AMCO Giffen, has been repairing broken patches of tarmac on the Alderney airport runway and taxiways.
Guernsey Ports says the cracked areas are stripped back, and a special compound is used to repair the holes.
This happens after the last flights of the day have left.
Alderney's runway is overdue to be resurfaced, but a plan to lengthen it and refurbish the airport was stopped last year because costs had escalated by many millions.
Ports says it is developing designs for the runway project to take to the States of Guernsey.
