Beau Sejour's changing rooms have undergone a major refurbishment to improve disabled access.
Thanks to the Cinven Foundation, the Guernsey Disability Swimming was able to fund the upgrades at the St Peter Port leisure centre.
More than £25,000 has been invested in improving accessibility and comfort for all swimmers.
The refurbishment includes the installation of a state-of-the-art ceiling hoist, a hygienic changing bench, and a fold-out shower seat.
The showers have also been repainted in contrasting colours to aid visually impaired swimmers.
Chair of Guernsey Disability Swimming, Adrian Sarchet, says everyone deserves equal access to the facilities.
"Previous projects have included GDS funding double-railings down the main steps into the pool, self-propelled poolside wheelchairs and the PoolPod - a revolutionary poolside lift which replaced the old medieval-looking ducking stool contraption.
“This project provides a similar upgrade to Beau Sejour’s Changing Village and will promote the experience of swimmers with disabilities.
"GDS is indebted to the Cinven Foundation for its incredible generosity - this project would not have been possible without their support.”
Recreational Service Inclusion Officer, Steve Melbourne, says the refurbishment is a major step forward in inclusivity for the island.
"Thanks to the generous funding and close partnership with Guernsey Disability Swimming, this facility now offers a modern, dignified space that greatly improves access for disabled people, supporting their full participation in sport and leisure activities.”
