Four teenagers have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a stabbing on the Le Geyt estate.
Police have detained two 16-year-old boys, a 17-year old boy, and an 18-year-old man.
An 18 year old man is recovering from surgery in Southampton Hospital after being found with stab wounds on Sunday night.
Officers are appealing for witnesses who were in the area between 10pm and 11pm or who have CCTV or dash cam footage.
Police have been conducting extra patrols in the area to reassure the community following what they have described as an 'isolated incident'.
