Reduction In Registered Voters

Fewer islanders are registered to vote in this year's election compared to the last one in 2018.

60,701 people can have a say on who forms the next States Assembly.

Four years ago, 62,123 were able to vote.

Election organisers say this reflects a reduction in the population size since 2018.

The latest census shows that 103,267 residents were living in Jersey. It was estimated that around 106,800 people were living in Jersey in 2018.

There was an island-wide turnout of 43.38% in 2018.

St Mary is the parish with the highest percentage of registered voters. Of those who can vote, 96.49% are registered.

St Helier has the lowest percentage of registered voters per population at 59.83%.

96 people who had wanted to register to vote left it too late. Their applications were submitted after the midday deadline on Wednesday 15 June, so they can't be added to the supplementary register for this year's election.

They have been added to the electoral register for future elections.

Jersey Post is urging voters to check which constituency they're living in.

It's after reports of the wrong manifesto booklets being delivered to some homes in the island.

Islanders have between 8am and 8pm tomorrow (22 June) to cast their votes at their local polling station. You can find yours here.
