Police Dog Turbo Retires

Jersey Police have said goodbye to one of their canines.

Police Dog Turbo has retired on his 8th birthday.

The force says - after six and half year's service - he's going to 'put his paws up' at home with his handler.

PC Dave Bisson has described his German Shepherd colleague as an amazing partner.

After 6 1/2 years of taking this big hairy fella to work with me today is going to be the last. Pd Turbo will become RPD Turbo tomorrow. An amazing partner🐾 pic.twitter.com/ulDxghKeVY

At the end of his final shift, PD Turbo was presented with a service award.

PC Bisson is going to the UK next week to begin training with Turbo's replacement.
