There are no plans to ease the remaining Covid restrictions before next month, despite the big drop in active coronavirus cases over the weekend.
There were 2,523 people known to have Covid-19 in Jersey on Friday 30 July. It's now 1,193.
The government says the large number of recoveries was because of the decision to reduce the isolation period from 14 days to 10.
Someone with COVID is deemed to have recovered when they've got no symptoms and completed the 10-day quarantine.
The government anticipated reaching 500 new cases a day a couple of weeks ago, but that didn't materialise.
Despite the big drop in live infections, a government spokesperson has told Channel 103 that there are no current plans to allow nightclubs to reopen and stand-up drinking to return sooner than September.
We're told that the situation will continue to be reviewed regularly.
The mandatory wearing of masks in public spaces was brought back on 21 July because of the sharp rise in case rates. It was also advised that people work from home if possible.
Economic Development Minister Senator Lyndon Farnham told Scrutiny last week that an in-principle agreement had been reached to apply the same rules to events in public spaces and events in public gardens.
He said he hoped this would be welcomed by the events industry. Further details have not yet been published.
