A motorcyclist has been seriously injured in a road traffic collision in Grouville.
A 31 year old man is being transferred to Southampton Hospital after suffering a serious leg injury in a crash early on Saturday (7 March).
He came off his black Yamaha XJR1300 at around 5am on Le Vier Mont at the junction with Longueville Road and La Rue a Don.
Police say no other vehicle or person is believed to have been involved.
The rider was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to Jersey's General Hospital.
His condition is described as stable, but his lower leg injury is so severe he is being taken to the UK for further treatment.
The scene was closed to traffic until 11am. The main roads have reopened but Le Vier Mont remains closed while police continue their investigations.
Officers believe the bike was travelling eastbound towards Grouville Hill.
They want to speak to anyone who saw the motorbike before the collision or who heard it happen. They are also appealing for dashcam or CCTV footage,
