Jersey Police are looking for witnesses to a fight that left a man lying on the pavement near St Thomas’ Church.
The injured man was taken to the hospital’s Emergency Department, but discharged a short time later.
The other man ran off in the direction of New Street.
Officers want to speak to anyone who saw or heard a disturbance between 5 – 5.30am on Sunday, or who can help identity the people involved.
In particular, they are trying to trace a man and a woman who walked past the church near to Jersey Green Room Club on Val Plaisant.
“Police would like to speak to the man and woman who were walking past as it is believed they may have seen both men and therefore may be able to help us identify those involved and what took place. We would seek to reassure them that there is nothing to suggest they were involved in the incident.” – DS Dominic Clayson
