Matthew Planner has been jailed by Jersey’s Royal Court after 4.8kg of cannabis was sent by post to the island.
The 29-year-old has been sentenced to two years in prison.
Jersey Customs & Immigration Service intercepted a parcel at Jersey Post Headquarters in September 2023.
The head-sealed coverings were bleached to disguise the smell of cannabis.
Planner was arrested the following day in a covert operation after taking receipt of a substitute parcel at an address in St Saviour.
Investigations found the cannabis had been sent to a previous address of Planner’s.
The drugs are said to have had an estimated street value of £150,000.

Luke Goddard, Jersey Customs & Immigration Service Senior Manager, says:
"This is a significant seizure of cannabis and demonstrates both the high level of vigilance our Officers have in dealing with postal traffic and the ability JCIS has in undertaking covert activities in order to bring successful prosecutions against those involved in this level of criminality.
"Undoubtedly the disruption caused to the syndicate involved will be significant and the resulting sentence reflects the seriousness of the offence."
