Tens of thousands of people are expected to pass through Jersey Airport's doors over the Christmas travel period.
It is preparing for a rush of passengers from 19 to 22 December 2025, especially today and Monday, when the airport will open at 5am to accommodate the footfall.
Ports of Jersey have decided to welcome passengers an hour early to ensure they can clear security with enough time before their flights.
Head of Customer Experience & Terminal Operations, Sarah-Louise Stubbs, says they want everyone to start their journey stress-free.
"Christmas is one of the most exciting times of the year for travel.
"By opening earlier on Friday and Monday and encouraging passengers to arrive in good time, we’re making sure the festive getaway is as smooth as possible.
"We thank everyone for planning ahead during this busy period."
People are also asked to make sure any presents in their hand luggage are unwrapped and that no party poppers or Christmas crackers are brought on board.

For people travelling with their furry friends by ferry this Christmas, they are being reminded to check that their pet passports or Animal Health Certificates are valid before setting off.
Some pet owners sailing to the EU in recent weeks to collect kittens and puppies have been refused travel because of invalid or fake pet passports.
The government is also warning islanders to be cautious and to check that the pet’s rabies vaccine is valid and correctly recorded.
Before returning to Jersey from the EU, dogs must be treated for tapeworm within 24 to 120 hours of their scheduled arrival.
If not, islanders could face high costs, with their pets quarantined and revaccinated.
With winter sailings more likely to be cancelled or rescheduled, the timing of treatment needs to be carefully considered.
