Islanders are being invited to Jersey's first 'Volunteering in Sport Fair.'
It's taking place at the Pomme d'Or Hotel on Tuesday 8 September between 12pm and 2pm to showcase the wide range of opportunities available across the island.
There will be representatives from Jersey Sport and local organisations to chat about the different ways people can volunteer.
Dom Blampied, Sport Development Officer (Pathways) at Jersey Sport, said:
"Jersey Sport is delighted to be hosting our first Volunteering in Sport Fair. Volunteers are at the heart of sport, from helping to run clubs and events to supporting athletes and creating opportunities for islanders to get active.
"Sport thrives because of the time, energy and passion that volunteers give, and Jersey is no different. We want to connect people who are interested in volunteering with local sporting organisations and show them just how many different ways they can get involved, and what the benefits are.
"Whether you have years of experience in sport or have never volunteered before, there is an opportunity for everyone. We hope people will come along, have a chat, meet some friendly faces and discover how they can play their part in one of Jersey’s strongest communities."
No previous volunteering experience is needed.
