Hear islanders' lullabies from all over the world

70 lullabies in 17 languages have been collected by 'The Lullaby Project', which launches a website this weekend.

The Lullaby Project Archive is launching with an event at Le Tacheron Farm in Trinity this Saturday (12 July).

Islanders are invited to join creators Esther Rose Parkes and Susanne Kudielka from 3 pm to 6 pm to hear to the songs and share stories as a celebration of the three-year journey of the project.

They will also hear a performance by The Lullaby Choir.

Guests can step inside the interactive Lullaby Trailer and enjoy tea, coffee, and cake in the countryside.

The Lullaby Project originally set out to create a ‘Lullaby portrait’ of Jersey by collecting lullabies from across the Island.

It has evolved into a community choir and living archive.

The choir's repertoire reflects Jersey's rich multicultural landscape, featuring songs in Dutch, Urdu, Māori, Jèrriais, Ukrainian, and English.

The weekend event is free, but islanders are asked to book as there are limited spaces.
