Funding for innovators with ideas that could make a difference in Jersey

A new funding programme wants to help innovators turn their ideas into solutions that can benefit Jersey.

Impact Jersey is offering funding to help pioneers benefit Jersey’s economy, environment and community through tech solutions.

Open year-round and without a deadline, the Innovation Programme has been developed in response to feedback from local entrepreneurs and businesses.

It gives access to a rolling funding opportunity with three different tiers of financial support according to the scale of the project.

Tony Moretta, CEO of Digital Jersey which delivers the Impact Jersey funding programmes.

The Innovation Programme is looking for tech to improve productivity, housing needs, health and wellbeing, and respond to the climate emergency.

It complements and builds on the existing programmes, to offer greater flexibility and the tailored support innovators invariably need - including support through personalised advice, clinics and partner introductions.

Tony Moretta, CEO of Digital Jersey – the delivery partner for Impact Jersey - said:

“This new programme is about helping to turn good ideas – large and small - into real outcomes that can benefit Jersey’s people, economy and environment.

"We’ve listened hard to what innovators need in terms of support as well as funding and adapted the programme accordingly - enabling them to apply for funding and guidance when they’re ready, not just when a window happens to be open."

Past schemes have been successful, with developers creating solutions for an ageing population.
