Several islanders are stranded in Poole because of issues with Condor Ferries' fleet.
Engine problems on the Condor Liberation last week left some passengers stuck for several hours, with strong winds cancelling Liberation and Rapide services today.
The ferry operator's 'sailing updates' page on its website has also been offline since yesterday, making it harder for passengers to find up-to-date details:

Steve Wallace from Jersey has been stuck since Friday.
He's on life-saving medication which runs out in a couple of days - and is staying in a local hotel while waiting for further information:
"At the moment, we don't even know what we're doing. These people are not talking to us, they won't even tell us when they can get me home. We've just been left - it's a horrible feeling not being able to go home - having to stay in a hotel, left in limbo."
Channel 103 has since been told he and other passengers stranded will be on the next boat sailing tomorrow.
