A bonfire was the cause of a blaze on open land at Corbiere.
Firefighters were called out late afternoon on Monday (24 August), with the flames spreading quickly in strong winds.
Crews worked to stop them reaching nearby homes.
No one was injured, and the Fire Service's rapid response ensured the buildings were protected.
JFRS says, despite the odd shower, the land and vegetation is still extremely dry and people should not be lighting bonfires.

Jersey Water said the fire came 'dangerously close' to the desalination plant.
The company has warned, that had it been damaged, the island would have lost critical resilience for the island's water supply during this prolonged dry spell.
They're also urging people to take extra care, and to avoid anything that could start a fire.
