A man in his 40s has been cut from his car following a crash on Queen's Road.
Two cars were involved in the crash, which damaged the front of a St Helier home at around 9:30pm last night.
One of the vehicles, a white Ford Focus, belonged to the homeowners and had been parked on the driveway prior to the collision.
Witness reports suggest it was shunted through the front window of the property by a blue BMW.
Jersey Fire and Rescue say the crash was so serious, two fire engines and special rescue crews had to be brought in to get the those trapped to safety.
Two people, both travelling in the BMW, were taken to hospital by the Ambulance service, but neither is said to have life-threatening injuries.
Officers say the car was seen overtaking a white van further down the road before the crash.
The man believed to be driving the BMW has been arrested and remains in Police custody while officers conduct their investigation.
Jersey Police is appealing for anyone who saw the incident, or took photos or videos of the crash, to contact 01534 612612 or Crimestoppers anonymously.
"Police are speaking to a number of witnesses regarding the incident and have learned that a number of bystanders may have footage of the incident or the aftermath on their phones.
