Just over halfway through the spring, no rain has fallen on the islands for 20 days.
Jersey Met say the last appreciable rain fell on the islands on 4 April and that was just 0.2 mm.
This means the Channel Islands, following a near recording breaking wet start to the year, are now in meteorological drought, generally considered to be 15 days or more without rainfall being recorded.
The weather pattern is similar to 2025 when a wet winter was followed by a dry spring and summer.
Jersey has its wettest ever February since record began in 1894, with more than double the amount of rain that is normal for the time of year. Overall, winter was the third wettest on record.
This week Guernsey Water said their 14 reservoirs, mainly made up of old quarries, are completely full.
However, although they did not talk about restrictions, they are recommending people with gardens buy a water butt and that people and businesses need to work out simple, everyday ways of not wasting water and make those habiutal.
These can include taking shorter showers, using kitchen water - from washing up or cooking or soaking veg - in the garden instead of tap water.
