Repair work to the slipway at Douit du Moulin begins this week.
The work, which should be completed in May, will reinstate the access route to the beach.
A section of the slipway suffered damage during bad weather towards the end of last year.
At that time urgent remedial repair works were done to prevent additional damage that could undermine the structural integrity of the slipway.
Now the weather has settled, long-term repairs can be made.
Agriculture, Countryside & Land Management Services says cast concrete is the most economical and practical solution at £65,000.
It says the alternative - a full masonry repair to reinstate the original granite - would have cost an extra £95,000 and taken three times longer.
The repair will match one at the top of the slip where it meets the coast road.
