A Guernsey developer wants to build around 100 homes on a plot adjacent to the Mallard complex in the Forest parish.
The Infinity Group has submitted plans for a sizable development that it says could be ready by late 2029 if work begins in February next year.
The site is adjacent to the Mallard Complex, and the majority of the homes are being classed as affordable and would be delivered through the Guernsey Housing Association.
Infinity says the site has three advantages in that it can be built on quickly, is close to the Forest parish centre, which has shops, a garage and a school, and is in the south of Guernsey, where fewer people live.
The Guernsey Housing Association says the site's readiness for development means, if the plans are approved, that the homes could be available before some of the other sites it wants to develop.
