Roadworks and tree felling will prevent cars using Rue du Pre and Trinity Square for the next few days.
Drivers and bus passengers will face early New Year disruption on their commute into southern St Peter Port over the next few days.
A cable fault meant Guernsey Electricity had to close Le Bordage near the top of the Market last Tuesday (30 December), but this is scheduled to reopen later today (5 January).
However, tree works will begin just up the road in Park Street from today.
These will move along Rue du Pre towards Trinity Square for the next few days meaning there will be diversions in place until the end of Thursday, 8 January.
Cyclists are able to get through but must get off their bikes.
It is traditional over the Christmas period to re-open Guernsey's closed roads but early January is the normal time that more extensive repairs take place.
