The GSPCA are looking for an experienced reptile owner to look after 'Maximillian'.
The Madeiran wall lizard, nicknamed Maximillian, made headlines in February this year when he was discovered in Guernsey.
He had become trapped in a suitcase and startled an unpacking islander.
Guernsey's animal shelter says he is now in good health, he needs a permanent home.
GSPCA Manager Steve Byrne urges anyone with reptile experience to get in touch.
“Maximillian has completed his quarantine after hitching a lift in a bag from Maderia and is now looking for a home.
“He will need a very special home with a knowledgeable owner."
