Restrictions and guidance has been given on bonfires and setting off fireworks.
The States say private parties should only take place on Wednesday 5 November
They are reminding islanders that bonfires can only be held between Monday and Friday of the same week.
Fireworks go on sale at the end of October, and must be set off on the Wednesday, unless bad weather means they must be set off on an alternative evening between Monday and Friday.
Anyone planning on holding a public or private bonfire or firework display is asked to submit details of the event at gov.gg/events, which helps inform neighbours and animal owners about potential noise.
Bonfires held outside of permitted dates could constitute an environmental and air pollution offence.
