The Education Committee's newly elected President, Deputy Paul Montague, has this message for all islanders receiving Level 3 results:
“After over thirty years of teaching, I know how much hard work, commitment, worry, relief and joy is wrapped up in results day.
"These Level 3 qualifications (whether they are technical, vocational, A-Levels, IB Certificates or the previously released excellent IB Diploma results) aren’t just about exams, they’re about all the effort, challenges and successes that have brought students to this point. Today’s results reflect that dedication."
"On behalf of the Committee, I’d like to say well done to every student receiving results.
"Be proud of what you've achieved.
"Whatever you do next, you are not just taking with you a grade, but the learning and character that got you there
"And to the teachers, lecturers, education staff, families and friends who’ve been guiding and supporting these students along the way, we also say thank you.”
GCSE results will come out next Thursday (21 August).
