A Guernsey woman and her group of long distance swimmers are is taking part in this year's Alternative Transport Week by swimming across Belle Greve bay.
Jayne Packham has decided to swim from Richmond Corner to the Salarie Corner next Wednesday (22 May).
She'll set off from the slipway at 6.30am and stay close to the coast for the 2.5-kilometre commute.
Jayne took on the challenge to promote active travel last year, but has invited others to join her this time.
"I've planned a route that will go from slip to slip, so there are various distances people can choose from.
And if anyone would like to kayak to work instead, they could help us carry some kit bags along the way."
Anyone interested can contact Jayne through her swim groups' Facebook page: Mental Tentacles.
