A world-leading assessment for sustainability will be conducted on the BDO's new office - which is set to be completed next year.
BDO Guernsey is relocating to the second floor of the Admiral Park office complex in St Peter Port.
The advisory company's 95 Guernsey-based employees will have a 67,000 square foot office in 2024.
Managing Director of BDO Guernsey, Richard Searle says the move is a good step for the advisory company:
“We are excited to be moving to a dynamic area of town. BDO has had a presence in Guernsey for more than 120 years and signing a lease for a new premises reinforces our commitment to the island."
The new building, which is part of the last phase of the park's redevelopment, will be the island's first to use the Building Research Establishment's Environmental Assessment Method - which is seen as the world-leading assessment for sustainable building.
Mr Searle says this is something the company is proud of:
"The eco-credentials of the building, as accredited by BREEAM, make this one of the greenest buildings in Guernsey, which is fantastic news as we continually look to minimise our impact on the island’s beautiful natural environment.”
Admiral Park has undergone a £40 million transformation since 2019, which includes a 100-bed Premier Inn.
The last phase of the development is due to finish in June 2024, the same time BDO is set to move into its new office.
