Aesop’s Fables Art Workshop with Jersey Library - Jersey Festival of Words 2026

Inspired by our Aesop's Fables exhibition in the Second Floor Gallery, we are inviting adults aged 16+ to join us for a special colouring and creative activity in the Library Workspace.

Using illustrations based on William Caxton's 1484 edition of Aesop's Fables, you'll have the opportunity to bring these timeless tales to life by colouring a selection of bookmarks, greetings cards and manuscript-style pages. A range of materials will be provided, including colouring pencils, acrylic paint pens and felt-tip pens, making the session suitable for all abilities, whether you're an experienced artist or simply looking to unwind. Colouring is a wonderful way to relax, practise mindfulness and enjoy some creative time in a friendly and welcoming environment.

Tea and coffee will be available throughout the afternoon, giving you the chance to socialise with fellow participants or simply immerse yourself in the artwork at your own pace. No previous artistic experience is required.
