Jersey's 2026 election has brought in a number of changes to the way the island's States Assembly members are selected.
After a four-year absence, the role of Senator has been re-introduced - meaning some candidates will be standing in their local constituency while others are seeking an island-wide mandate.
The next States Assembly
Nine Senators, 28 Deputies and 12 Constables will make up the next States Assembly.

Who can I vote for?
We can vote for up to nine Senators who will represent the whole island. You can also vote for your new parish Constable, and between 2-4 Deputies who will represent your constituency.
These constituencies were introduced in 2022, aiming to ensure islanders were fairly represented. For example, St Helier is split into three constituencies - North, Central and South - each with more Deputies than they had under the previous system. While in the more sparsely-populated rural parishes, some have been combined to create electoral 'super districts'.
Each parish will still elect a Constable, but since 2022 voters have a 'none of the above' option on their ballot papers where only a single candidate is vying for a position.
